By car FROM THE NORTH: exit at "Firenze Nord" and follow the directions for the center. When you get to the end of Viale Francesco Redi, turn right and then left onto Via Guido Monaco. Go down to the end of the road and turn left onto Via Fratelli Rosselli. Having passed the rail underpass follow the Viali di Circonvallazione next to the Fortezza da Basso. Carry on along Viale Lavagnini and at the first traffic light turn right into Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria and continue for 500 meters until you reach Piazza dell'Indipendenza. You have arrived, Hotel Andrea is at number 19. FROM THE SOUTH: exit on Firenze sud and follow directions for Piazza della Libertà , from here continue the same as if coming from the north.
For business Fortezza da Basso, in Viale Filippo Strozzi, is an ancient Medici defensive structure dating from the 16th century which now houses exhibits.
