Three Stars Hotel in Florence for the great exhibitions at Pitti Palace in December 2012

The halls of Pitti Palace in Florence host until December 2012 two exhibitions really worth visiting. The first exhibition we at Hotel Andrea love to tell you about, is open until December the 9th, 2012 entitled 'The New Frontier. History and Culture of the Native Americans'; an unusual exhibition for Florence and for this reason not to be missed. From the Gilcrease Museum of Oklahoma collections, in the Andito degli Angiolini (main staircase, upper mezzanine floor) and the rooms of the Galleria del Costume (Costume Gallery) at Pitti Palace you can admire objects, clothes, head coverings, weapons, jewellery, paintings and photographs of the Native Americans. The exhibition is held on the 500th anniversary of the death of Amerigo Vespucci, the navigator who gave his name to the New Continent.
Furthermore until December the 22nd, 2012, in the Sala delle Nicchie at Pitti Palace another great exhibition takes place, entitled 'The Myth, the Sacred, the Portrait'; nineteen paintings accurately chosen from the Medici (reigning family of Florence) collection, from 1560s and the first half of the seventeenth century. Among the exhibited paintings we like to remember artists such as Guido Reni, Simone Pignoni, Jacopo Ligozzi, Frans Floris, Justus Suttermans.

If you come to Florence in December and want to visit the Pitti Palace exhibitions, we strongly suggest you to contact Hotel Andrea directly for your stay and ask us for our best deal.
